The Regina Male Voice Choir is the longest continuously operating community choir in Saskatchewan since 1911 when it began as The Regina Male Chorus Club.
The Choir presented its first annual concert on April 1, 1912 in the old City Hall on the
site now occupied by the Services Canada Centre in the Alvin Hamilton Building in downtown Regina.
Over most of its 108 year history The Regina Male Voice Choir featured the unique sound of male voice 4-part (TTBB) harmony in civic events and an annual Concert performance. However in 2015 we realized, after losing several members through attrition, that our reduced numbers were no longer sufficient to support a formal 4-part TTBB program. We decided to try a more casual ‘sing-along’ format providing 20’s through 60’s traditional, folk and popular music entertainment to the Seniors’ Residences and Care Homes.
The ‘Sing-along’ program has turned out to be a success, enthusiastically received and we are pleased to continue providing this service to the Seniors’ community since it gives us, ‘the men who love to sing’ , the opportunity to continue singing “just for the fun of it”.
We are always looking for new members, men 18-98 “who love to sing just for the fun of it”. Why not come join us!
